Garbage piling up near JBS footpath

Parade Ground: The footpath from JBS towards Parade Ground, which passes through the bus stands footpath, is not only laid with garbage, but at certain stretches, is also broken. The illegal dumping of garbage on the footpath is forcing pedestrians to use the busy road by risking their lives.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, R Santosh, a commuter, said, "The garbage that is thrown in the open space near to an electric pole and a footpath which in turn can be harmful for humans, as this garbage contains plastic waste."

P Vaibhavi, a pedestrian, said, "The garbage is removed after several days and whenever the waste gets piled up, foul smell starts emanating from it."
