GHMC acts on pleas, plugs sewage overflow
Secunderabad: Responding to the report, 'Motorists suffer as sewage overflows,' published in The Hans India on October 5, the GHMC officials swung into action and on their direction the sanitation workers cleared the choked manhole and repaired it for permanent solution to the recurring sewage overflow issue.
The residents and motorists in Teachers Colony, Secunderabad were facing hardships due to the recurring sewage overflow onto the roads. It was difficult for the pedestrians to walk on road filled with sewage water.
The locals sighed a relief after seeing that repair works have been carried by the GHMC to stop the sewage overflow permanently.Thanking The Hans India, Krishna, a resident, said, "By publishing the issue, the GHMC took swift action and solved the problem permanently."
