Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP Aravind Dharmapuri said that the battle for the saffron party in the GHMC elections was between the AIMIM and BJP, and TRS was no factor. Addressing the media here on Thursday, he said that the people were all set to teach a lesson to the TRS in the Greater elections.

He said that the TRS was trying hard to make Majlis occupy the Mayor seat. However, the BJP will defeat its selfish designs. Dismissing the remarks of BJP a communal party, he said those who stoke communal violence (Majlis) are hand in glove with the TRS. Responding to the TRS allegation of BJP stalling the financial assistance to the flood victims, he said, BJP has no issues if the State government wanted to distribute financial assistance, even if it wanted to increase it and also if it wanted to purchase votes spending the money it had amassed in the form of commissions from Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha.

"We say it openly to the TRS that it can go and distribute the money. But people are not going to vote for it," he said. He pooh-poohed the claims of uninterrupted power supply by Minister KT Rama Rao and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He said that the 24-hour uninterrupted power supply was there in every State across the country.
