GHMC gives away wheel chairs to needy

Hyderabad: The GHMC mayor Bonthu Rammohan gave away appreciation certificates to 75 employees of GHMC and provided wheel chairs for the physically challeneged and employment letters to the unemployed youths in city apart from distributing Aasara identity cards to senior citizens on Independence Day.

Earlier, the mayor unfurled the tricolor in the presence of GHMC deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin, commissioner M Dana Kishore. He informed that 40,000 crore worth developmental works were under progress and 3 crore saplings plantation is underway under Haritha Haram initiative and distribution of free saplings to the public is the proof that residents life would be transformed under the leadership of KCR, he said.

He said that 53 theme parks construction, setting up of more basti dawakhanas, construction of lakh double bedroom houses for the poor people are the example of developmental works taken place in the state, he said.

To make green city, around 2.21 crores of saplings were planted in last four phase of Haritha Haram initiative and prepared action plan to distribute the free saplings and plantation of the saplings in vacant places across the city, he said.

To give the free medical assistance to the poor people in city, we have planned to set up another 90 basti dawakhanas within short span of time and already 106 basti dawakhanas are operating in city, he said.
