GHMC officials urged to expedite nala expansion

Serilingampally: Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi on Thursday attended a review meeting in the local GHMC zonal office on widening of nalas in the presence of Zonal Commissioner Hari Chandana and officials of the engineering, town planning wings and projects.

Gandhi told the meeting that the nala expansion work should be expedited keeping in view the dire conditions caused by the monsoon. He stressed the need for a comprehensive work on a war-footing with a time schedule for finding a permanent solution to the problems.

The MLA directed the GHMC officials to submit proposals for funds to take up the Rs 13 lakh (estimated) PJR Enclave Drainage Improvement Scheme. He also gave several suggestions to the officials.

Among those present at the meeting were GHMC SE (Projects) Venkataramana, GHMC EE Chinna Reddy, AE Anurag, City Town Planner Srinivas, ACPs A K Reddy and Hari, and TPS staffer Pavan.
