GHMC staff blind to heaps of garbage

Old Alwal: The garbage on the sides of the roads of Road No. 3 of Citizen Colony in Old Alwal is not being removed by the GHMC workers and heaps are just piling up here. The staff come to the area on a regular basis but do not clean the garbage from the roads.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, R Prateek , a 29 year old resident of the area said, "These heaps of garbage has been left here for several weeks now and nobody cleared them.

This is causing foul smell for us locals on this road. We have asked the GHMC workers to remove the garbage but they said that a GHMC van will be coming to collect the garbage, but it never came and the garbage remained here as it is."
