Girls Islamic Organisation first meet in hyderabad city on Oct 20

Nampally: The Hyderabad chapter of Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO) will be organising its first major event entitled 'Your Impetuous Zeal Keeps the World Alive' at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, on October 20.

Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, former MP K Kavitha, Karate champion Syeda Falak, first commercial Muslim woman pilot Salwa Fathima will be the guests at the meet.

Speaking to media persons, Munazzah Zareen, the city president of GIO, said that the conference which starts at 10 am in the morning would have inspirational speeches to young women who represent different fields.

Covering educational, religious, moral and cultural spheres, every aspect would be touched by the women experts who will through light on these subjects under present scenario. Also subjects including harassment of women and solutions, girls facing problems at educational institutions and workplace and the problem resolution would be discussed.

Emphasising on the security of the women, Zareen felt that the society where women feel secure would set an example by setting a clear path of progress and development. She added that on the day of conference other Motivational speakers will include State president of Jamaat-e-Islamic Hind (JIH), Moulana Hamid Md Khan (Chief Patron, GIO TS), Asiya Tasneem (State President, JIH Women's Wing, Telangana), Madeeha Amreen (General Secretary, GIO TS), Hafiz Md Rashaduddin (City President, JIH) and others would address the gathering.

State secretary Uzma Begum said that the organisation was striving hard not only for meeting the educational needs of the girls, but also for ensuring that they have high moral standards. She felt that in the name of modernism and liberty they were being misguided.

She said that GIO was emerging the largest student organisation for girls across the city. It came into existence in 2007 and by now is a caravan of hundreds of devoted, talented and dedicated girls working voluntarily.

The programme would also witness expert guidance to the participants for their career. Through different cultural activities like dramas the young girls will be presented thought provoking acts. Best students from different colleges will be felicitated for their overall performance during 'TelanganaTalento'19,' a student festival where more than 3,000 students from around 550 campuses would take part.

The final state-level round would also be scheduled on the same day in a parallel auditorium. State coordinator, Khatija Mehveen, Media secretary, Naila Irfan, Sidra, Amina Begum, Sara Farooq, Arshiya Gazal, Zoha and others were present.
