Glowing tributes paid to former PM Vajpayee

Patancheru: The first death anniversary of former Prime Minister A B Vajpayee was observed in the industrial estate here on Friday under the leadership of district BJYM secretary Nagaphani Naveen Raj.

The BJYM leaders garlanded Vajpayee's portrait while recalling his services to the country, particularly introduction of the Grameen Sadak Yojana and Food-for-Work Scheme, which benefited the people. "Good schemes like the Atal Pension Yojana have been welcomed by the people", they pointed out.

The speakers referred to the victory in the Kargil war during Vajpayee's regime. They said Prime Minister Narendra Modi strove to make the dreams of Vajpayee successful. "He is making efforts to extend the 'Atal Pension Yojana' to more beneficiaries," he added. BJYM leaders Vijay Kumar, Naveen, Ganesh, Harish, Rajasekhar and Srikanth were present on the occasion.
