Hanging cables pose grave danger

Madhapur: Electric wires are posing a serious threat to pedestrians and commuters at Madhapur—Hi-Tec City road. The locals of the area said that a strong breeze is enough for poles to fall apart.

Last year, too, several poles in the area fell due to heavy wind. Arvind V K, an employee of Zeeza Computers Pvt Ltd, said, "If so many poles are falling in this area, it calls for a serious study. The soil needs to be tested. The residents also gave a complaint to the GHMC but were told that it was a one-off incident."
