High-level GHMC team visits Kukatpally areas
Kukatpally: M Dana Kishore, the Commissioner of GHMC, on Monday inspected the areas flooded by the recent rain in Kukatpally constituency. He went round the spots facing inundation along with top officials of HMWSSB, Transco, Municipal Administration department and traffic police. The GHMC chief identified 40 spots facing floods.
He directed officials to use motors to ensure that there is no water stagnation on roads and in colonies. Dana Kishore identified that there was stagnation of water on over 120 roads and also some spots for finding solutions to traffic problems, after holding discussions with the Traffic wing officials.
He said steps would be taken to make sure that vehicle users don't face traffic jams with the cooperation of the traffic police. The GHMC chief later told press persons that indiscriminate dumping of waste, including construction material, was causing water stagnation. He warned of taking strong action against those resorting to such dumping.
