Jeedimetla: A new cement road is being laid, replacing the existing road at Ram Reddy Nagar to Babu Nagar. This road is being constructed with proven technology of VDCC M40 grade including vacuum dewatering with groove cutting.

With the road riddled with big potholes, bike riders, motorists and pedestrians face a lot of difficulties on this stretch. It is hoped that quality construction of new CC road would significantly reduce the hardships of commuters, if not put paid to their woes and provide them huge relief.

B Lalsingh, Deputy Executive Engineer, Qutubullapur Mandal, circle -25, GHMC, said VDCC M40 grade technology was being used in the construction of the road as it would help prevent water stagnation and also prevent damages to the road, especially during the monsoon season. The total expenditure for this project is around Rs 1.95 crore and the works began in the second week of June and are expected to be completed by the end of July.

J Krishna, a commuter said, it would hopefully bring great relief once the new road is paved. Suresh, another commuter, said that it will be a blessing in disguise if it works out especially during monsoon when a ride on this stretch would be very difficult.
