Hindustani Music Concert
A tribute to Sitar Maestro Bharat Ratna Pt. Ravi Shankar
Sapthak and Surmandal which is in the service of music for the past 50 years is organising "Swarna Dhara", a Hindustani music concert in the city on Sunday, April 7 at 5.30pm at second floor, Tajmahal Hotel, Abids road, Hyderabad.
"Sitar maestro" Ravi Shankar was an Indian musician known to the whole world. He was the composer of Hindustani classical music. He was the best-known proponent of the sitar in the second half of the 20th century and influenced many other musicians throughout the world.
It is a Sapthak from Bangalore and Surmandal, from Hyderabad's tribute to the legend of Hindustani classical music Bharat Ratna Pt. Ravi Shankraji on his 99th birth anniversary.
It will be performed by Manu Srivastava from USA on Vocal and Pt. Partha Bose from Kolkata on sitar. Rajendra Nkod and Dr Ravikiran Nakod will be on tabla and Satish Kolli on harmonium. Entry to the concert is free and all are invited.
