HIV-infected women get much-needed aid, advice

Hyderabad: In line with its commitment towards providing health care amenities for women and child, Dr Mudundi Ranga Nadha Raju Foundation organised a free nutrition support programme at Sahiti Nagar's Red Cross Hospital in Dilsukhnagar on Sunday.

Foundation founder Vasu Raju Mudundi donated a cheque of Rs 61,000 to Cheyutha Women's Community which supports over 60 HIV-infected women.

The Foundation is a self-sustaining organisation which aims to serve the needy from all the corners of the society, irrespective of age, race or religion. By noticing that an HIV-infected person needs medicine in every three months, Vasu Raju promised that the same amount would be given for up to one year for medical purposes.

On the occasion, orthopedic surgeons Dr Krishna Kiran and Dr Vikas said, "One should maintain a good healthy diet with best nutrition for women and child health care." Nanda Pandey, a social activist, who participated in all the arrangements of the programme, and the Foundation honored the orthopedic surgeons for giving medical aid and tips to HIV-infected women.
