 4 held for defrauding people on promise of jobs in HC

Hyderabad central crime police on Thursday arrested four people for defrauding 160 persons on the promise of providing jobs in High Court.

According to the joint commissioner (crime) Avinash Mahanti, Vishnumurthi, a native of Tammadapalli of Jangaon prepared a fake notification of vacancies for the junior assistant, attender and staff in the High Court forging the signatures of registrar genera and section in charge of High Court and shared to Tallapalli Sanjay Kumar and Dasarath. Another one identified as Mahaveer of Dabeerpura put up the job vacancy notification on the notification board in the court.

As many as 162 people approached the four for jobs who collected Rs 2.5 lakh each totalling of Rs 3 crore. The victims were taken to Gandhi Hospital for tests saying it as part of the hiring process. However, no appointment letter was provided to them for one year.

The incident came to light after a year when one of the victims approached the police a month ago. The police on Thursday arrested the four people.
