Hyderabad: Bhuma Akhila undergoes tests, back in prison

Hyderabad: Former AP Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya was taken to Osmania hospital as she complained about ill-health and seizures. According to sources, the TDP leader complained about getting fever, cold and seizures to the Chanchalguda prison authorities and stated that the medical treatment of the prison was not enough for her.

She was taken to Osmania hospital on Saturday night for checkup. After conducting thorough health checkup, the doctors informed the police that she was stable and prescribed some medicines. As they informed the cops that she can be taken back to prison, she was shifted to the Chanchalguda prison.

The hearing of Akhila Priya case involving abduction over a real estate dispute is to take place in the Secunderabad city civil court on Monday. She was arrested from her residence last week on charges of kidnapping the Katikaneni brothers as there was a land dispute of acres of land at Hafeezpet between the families.

Though initially named as accused no. 2 in the FIR, cops named her as the accused no. 1 in the charge-sheet filed before the court.
