BJP revs up to take on TRS

Hyderabad: The Telangana State BJP is all set to keep up the tempo created following its wins in the Dubbaka by-poll and the GHMC elections. For this, party leadership will chalk out action plans and programmes for cadre and leaders State-wide, to energise them to make inroads into TRS strongholds as well as consolidate their ground across the State.

A series of meetings were held with the party leaders from the mandal, district, city and state level.

In which, the leaders were asked to identify potential issues at every level. Issues include lack of basic civic amenities, problems of people facing displacement due to irrigation projects and non-payment of adequate compensation. Amid a raging farmers' agitation in the national capital, the State chapter also plans to win over those in Telangana, by taking up lack of procurement centres or getting less than minimum support price, fighting for compensation for damage of crops due to unseasonal conditions.

Among the issues to be taken to garnet support from all sections of society are hardships of students, unemployed youth, women, non-payment of salaries to teachers, pending PRC and IR, transfer and promotion of teachers, temple land grabbing. The saffron party would not want to let go of any issue to haul the TRS over hot coals.

Local leaders have to devise strategies and agitations for measurable and visible impact creation. Speaking to The Hans India, a senior leader said that issues would vary from place to place, and from local to the state level. The party would identify every such issue as was bothering people and would seek to build agitations around the same.

On the political side, the saffron party is gearing up to win the ensuing Nagrjunasagar Assembly by-elections, Khammam and Warangal civic body elections to repeat its performance in Dubbaka by-poll and GHMC. It is revving up to mount more pressure on the TRS government, in a systematic manner and at every level.

This will send a clear message to the public much ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections about the viable alternative to fight the pink brigade in Telangana.
