Hyderabad: Follow SMS to fend off Covid: Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat on Sunday flagged off a 10 K run from Uppal Crossroads to Alkapuri Crossroads (to-and-fro) covering a stretch of 10 km to create awareness about Covid. He also participated in the run.

Speaking at the event, he said "It is imperative that every citizen should adhere to the principle of SMS (social distancing, mask use and sanitising hands). The fear of Coronavirus is not yet over. People should not take it easy. In fact everyone should be more cautious now because of the second wave being reported in the country."

The run was organised by Rachakonda police in association with Hitch Foundation and sponsored by GSR Constructions. Around 3,000 enthusiastic runners, including police personnel, voluntarily participated in the run.
