Kavitha asks BJP MP to know facts & speak

Hyderabad: MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday asked BJP MP Tejaswi Surya to be more careful while speaking about Hyderabad and also advised him to be more responsible.

Speaking to reporters during the campaign at Gandhi Nagar, Kavitha slammed Tejaswi Surya for his remarks on Hyderabad and said the young leader should be more responsible while making the comments. "We belong to the city which respects the culture and lifestyle of everyone. Hyderabad is now a destination for global giants like Amazon, Google. Hyderabad has changed a lot, yes in terms of infrastructure, road connectivity, power supply and drinking water," she said.

She said that today Amazon was investing Rs 20,000 crore in the city and asked the BJP leader, "Don't you know why giants prefer Hyderabad? It is because of the efficient leadership of CM K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister KT Rama Rao," she said.

Kavitha said that the gentleman from Bengaluru should understand that Hyderabad is a city which respects the culture and lifestyle of everyone. "We Hyderabadis care only and only about development. Tell what you have done for Hyderabad and how much flood relief you have provided to the city of Hyderabad," she questioned him.

TRS will win 99 seats

Lambasting Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, Kavitha said TRS owes no explanation to the BJP that always follows the template of leveling allegations against other parties where they are not in force.

Javadekar called for a 'chargesheet' to be published against the GHMC, which is actually controlled by the TRS. Kavitha further claimed that TRS is a duly elected government and it would mean challenging the mandate of citizens to level such allegations against the group.

When the Centre released over Rs 600 crore for Karnataka, the same was seen during floods and nothing was granted to Hyderabad. Telangana and its people were not helped by the BJP. Hyderabad will not support the BJP in the upcoming GHMC elections, she said.

Kavitha said that with a greater number and passing the 99 seat mark, the people of GHMC would put the TRS back to power.
