Hyderabad: KCR failed Telangana people miserably says Tarun Chugh
Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said the formation of separate Telangana has so far only benefited to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and his family to enjoy power but it has not done anything to improve the plight of the people of the State.
In a statement here on Sunday, he said that even after six years of the formation of the State people are worried about more than 3000 persons who went missing since 1969 when the Telengana movement was launched.
The BJP leader said that even after the realisation of the dream of Telengana, people of the State continue to live in misery. "No benefits have been given to them from the number of welfare and development schemes floated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In fact, whatever funds were provided to the State has been gobbled by the KCR government," he flayed.
Criticising the TRS chief, he alleged that KCR had only enjoyed power and had promoted mafia and corruption in Telangana. And, for the last more than seven months, the Chief Minister could not find time to come to the State secretariat. "After the sunset, it is generally believed that the government works from the bars. Is this how you run the government?" Chugh asked.
Against this backdrop, "No wonder the state governance is reeking of corruption," Chugh said and added that the people were looking for a change in the BJP.
