Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority takes up green drive to mark KCR birthday
Hyderabad: As many as 5,270 seedlings were planted on the 66th birth anniversary of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao across the city on Monday. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) took up a plantation programme as per the call given by the MA&UD Minister KTR. The programmes were conducted at various places by dignitaries from all the quarters.
At Sanjeevayya Park, an Advisor to the Chief Minister, Dr Rajiv Sarma, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar, the Principal Secretary (MA&UD), along with senior IAS & IPS officers and staff of HMDA, planted 200 seedlings.
Further, HMDA is supplying seedlings to the various government and private organisations and denizens who are willing to take up planting on the occasion. Around 21,9092 seedlings were distributed to 35 organizations and individuals.
Species of Moduga (Butea Monosperma),
Ponna (Calophyllum Inophyllum) Naga Lingam (Couroupita Guianensis) Ponna, Moduga, Naga lingam, Raavi (Focus religiosa), Spathodia companulata, Peltophorum Pterocarpum, Marri (Ficus Bengalensis), Mahogany etc were planted by the dignitaries.
