Muslim JAC to protest over Secretariat mosques

Hyderabad : Reminding Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao of his assurance of laying foundation stones for rebuilding the two mosques, which were demolished along with buildings at Secretariat, the Muslim JAC has cautioned to launch agitation programme across the State.

Its leaders said at a meeting in Malakpet that the JAC would chalk out the agitational programmes across the State and would also conduct a arch to the Secretariat for offering Namaz. "Though KCR assured of laying foundation stone for re-building two Mosques by October end, there has been no initiative from government side to commence the work," said Mushtaq Malik, Convenor JAC and President Tahreek Muslim Shabban.

He recalled the meeting of Asaduddin Owaisi and other religious leaders representing the United Muslim Forum, Tameer -e – Millat, All India Muslim Personal Law Board and others at Pragati Bhavan, within two months of demolition.

It was in September that all the promises had been made including the KCR's assurance in Assembly. "We are giving a deadline to the government till November 21 to hand over the Masjid lands to the State Wakf Board and allow people to offer prayers," he cautioned.
