Hyderabad: Now, MLAs can drive into Pragathi Bhavan
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in his New Year resolution has decided to make himself available to the party MLAs at Pragathi Bhavan.
It may be mentioned here that during the Dubbaka by-election and GHMC polls, the opposition parties had been critical of the Chief Minister and alleged that he was not available easily even to his own party MLAs. Even party MLAs were feeling that the delay in getting appointment of the Chief Minister. This was resulting in several issues pertaining to their constituencies left pending resulting in people getting disillusioned.
Hence, KCR has now decided that TRS legislators can drive into the Pragathi Bhavan. The peoples representatives can discuss with him about the issues pertaining to their constituencies and to the extent possible instant decisions can be taken.
Official sources said that MLAs were asked to come with viable development projects in their respective constituencies to submit to the Chief Minister. Pending works and release of funds under the special development programme and constituency development schemes will also be addressed. This will also help KCR to ascertain the performance of his party MLAs and get first hand information about the progress taking place in every constituency mainly the rural Assembly segments in the districts as well as a ground report on the schemes being implemented. A top source said that KCR is keen to know the development taking place in the assembly constituencies which comes under the purview of the poll-bound Nalgonda- Warangal- Khammam and Hyderabad- Rangareddy – Mahbubnagar Graduates' constituencies.
The Chief Minister already paid special attention to Nagarjuna Sagar assembly segments which goes for the by-election soon.
He is also keen to see that all the ongoing developmental works were completed before the end of the financial year. Sources said that irrigation schemes, improvement in education and health infrastructure and local civic amenities would be given priority in the approvals from the CMO during the meeting with the legislators. On the request of Mudhol MLA G Vittal Reddy on Wednesday, the CM gave nod to take up the Pipri lift irrigation and also addressed local issues. KCR appreciated Sirpur- Kagaznagar MLA Koneru Konappa for making the government benefits reach the needy and also the charitable services extended to the locals.
