Hyderabad: Rally in support for nationwide strike
Hyderabad: The peoples organisations in association with the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) took out a rally from Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Bhaglingampally to RTC Cross Roads via Narayanaguda on Monday seeking public support in making the nationwide strike to be held on Tuesday a grand success.
AIKSCC conveners T Sagar, P Padma, K Rangaiah and Achuta Ramarao said the protest would continue till the Central government withdraws laws against the farmers. "The farmers protesting in Delhi are gaining huge support from all quarters of the country day by day. The Central government is trying to divide farmer associations in the name of talks. It is fooling around by saying amendments would be made to the laws instead of scrapping them. These laws will lead to issues in food security," they added, thanking unions of workers, employees, transport, women, youth, students and social organisations for their support.
CITU state secretary P Bhaskar, J Venkatesh, S Rama, V Ramulu, Srikanth, AITUC state secretary Bose, HMS President Riyaz Ahmed, AITUC leader SL Padma, Hanesh, Anuradha, Agriculture Workers Association state president B Prasad, vice president Boppinni Padma and many others took part in the rally.
