Hyderabad: Lake encroachments have become rampant in Greater Hyderabad after the TRS government came to power, alleged Telangana Congress Working President and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy. He dared LB Nagar MLA D Sudhir Reddy to come for a debate on development in his constituency in the last six months.

Revanth held roadshows at Lingojiguda chowrastha, Chaitanyapuri and Gaddiannaram as part of electioneering for GHMC polls. He sought the support of locals to ensure win for Congress candidate D Rajashekar Reddy. He accused local TRS corporator of forcefully collecting money from people for any new construction in the division.

The corporator's agents would roam around in the division to exhort money from locals, he said. If this should stop, people must elect Rajashekar Reddy this time who has been a sincere worker from Congress for the last 20 years, he said.

Both TRS and BJP are trying to mislead people, creating a wedge and resorting to lies, and are making provocative statements for electoral gains, the MP added.
