Thadastu Trust’s gesture to martyrs’ families

Hyderabad: Ex-servicemen, family of martys and all those with Army background in need of support on Sunday got a helping hand from Thadastu Trust.

Thadastu Trust invited seven families to the Sainik Welfare Office and organised a small event where each of the family was handed over cheques of Rs 1 lakh five thousand (1,05,000). According to the organisers, Thadastu Trust takes up the responsibility to help the soldiers who were working hard defending the country and those who depend on them.

Speaking on the occasion, Hyderabad Regional Sainik Welfare Officer Sreenesh Kumar Nori said, "It is indeed a matter of appreciation for the gesture shown by the Thadastu Trust for the families of those who lost their lives while serving in the Army.

On behalf of the soldiers and the ex-servicemen he expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Trust for its contribution to the community. The service they render for the most deserving veterans who have served in the Army is unforgettable," he said.

The organisers informed that after seeing economic gaps in the society, many employees working in the software companies immediately opened a bank account and started depositing some amount every month from their salary.

After setting up a trust called 'Thadastu' the employees discussed about distribution of amount to the underprivileged or for orphans who were still living a miserable life and old age homes through the 'Thadastu' Trust.

"Now the Trust members decided to help the soldiers who were serving in the Army and defending the country with their lives. We will never forget the sacrifices they are making for us to live comfortably and happily here," the organisers said.
