Hyderabad: Will set up toll-free no to redress public grievances
K Mahender Reddy, 38, who represents BJP won in the recently held GHMC elections with good majority from Moosapet division (117). The new corporator-elect is a graduate and can be counted amongst the young leaders who have the zeal to do good for the society.
Mahender says his primary focus is on laying of new stormwater drains and improving the existing ones, setting up open drains and provision of basic civic amenities like roads and sewerages, which remain in bad condition in the division. "I received a huge number of complaints on the bad road conditions and people are also demanding upgradation of sewerage and asking for development of the division gradually," he said.
He informed that he will be establishing a toll-free number to be within reach of the people of his division. Also assured that he will be always remain available to the people can share their grievances while meeting them in person. He also promised that he will solve their problems at the earliest. "Within no time we will be arranging the CCTV system for the security of people. As women will be working in the night shifts and for their safety, we will take necessary precautions," he said. Reddy said that though it is hard to get the funds from the opposition party it was his duty to ensure his ward gets the required funds from the Government or the GHMC on time. "I shall fight bringing funds towards development of my division," he quipped.
He added that people lost hope in the previous Corporator and decided to give him a chance and he would not let go their hopes.
"According to the people, there was no development in the division and they thought that BJP would resolve their problems and strive for the development, and thus elected me," he said.
Mahendar vowed that he would be fulfilling all the promises that he made. "All the promises in the manifesto during the election campaign in my term such as mini stadium near Mothi Nagar and open gyms in parks, open places would be completed."
