Hyderabad: A lifetime of disciplined hard work and commitment alone can create lasting legacies and stories of such successes need to be narrated to inspire more and greater successes, India's ace shuttler P V Sindhu said on Saturday, while realising 'Blood Sweat And Honey,' a biographical anthology penned by Dr V R K Rao, the chairman of Agile Group.

Sindhu said: "Today's youth is largely inspired by instant success stories emerging from the technological world. Undoubtedly, the rapid pace of technological progress has put instant success within the realm of possibility. But then the fast-track is a narrow lane and mercilessly treacherous.

Quick success may not be a lasting one either. On the contrary, commitment and sustained hard work produce outcomes of lasting value. Rao's life story exemplifies just that! Despite humble beginnings and personal tragedies, he attained success in diverse fields, built a thriving business group and, more importantly, touched lives. His is an inspirational life and I am happy to release his biographical anthology."

Speaking of the book, Sindhu's coach Padma Bhushan Pullela Gopichand said, "A successful life is one that is well balanced, one devoid of trade-offs between family, profession, personal health and values.

Rao has achieved that much-elusive balance and it's the most important takeaway from his story. Let's not forget that life is a marathon, not a sprint! It is important that we learn from the previous generations of how they reached life's goal posts undeterred by challenges and uncompromising on values."

'Blood Sweat And Honey,' is a biographical anthology by Dr V R K Rao, a retired Indian Air Force Squadron Leader and chairman of the 25-year-old Agile Group. Rao's productions for television bagged multiple Nandi awards and he also is the franchisee owner of Hyderabad Hunters badminton team and Black Hawks Hyderabad volleyball team.

In 'Blood Sweat And Honey,' Rao narrates his experiences in Air Force, voluntary retirement forced by untimely death of wife, challenges of managing a new business enterprise while being a single parent of three kids and eventual successes in multiple businesses – all through the book's protagonist Murali.

Complimenting Rao for penning the book, Dr T Prabhakar Rao, IGP (Intelligence), said, "Blood Sweat And Honey instils optimism and advocates passion and commitment. It has a profound message that will positively impact the readers."
