International Parkash Yatra to enter city on Monday

Hyderabad: As part of the 550th birth anniversary of first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Devji, founder of Sikhism, the International Nagar Nigam Yatra of Parkash Purab Yatra is going to reach Hyderabad on Monday. The yatra began from the holy shrine of Nankana Sahib in Lahore, Pakistan, on August 1.

The officials of the Guru Nanak Parkash Yatra Organising Committee said that the International Parkash Yatra would arrive from Nagpur via Nizamabad on Sunday.

The yatra from Nizamabad would be received by the Sikh community of Telangana in a befitting manner by thousands of Sikhs, showering petals and flowers on the holy saroop from Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of the first Sikh master on Monday at 1 pm near Kandlaykoya Oxygen Park, CMR Group of Institutions.

The yatra will pass through ORR road and will arrive at pillar No.143 on PVNR Expressway, Attapur, Rajendranagar at 4 pm. From pillar number 143, a colourful procession called Nagar Kirtan of Palki Saheb, Sri Nishan Saheb of all Gurudwara Saheb of Telangana will be taken out from Attapur to Gurudwara Saheb, Barambala, Sikh Chawniat, Kishan Bagh at around 9 pm.

The International Nagar Kirtan of Sri Guru Nanak Parkash Yatra will start from the Kishan Bagh Gurudwara on Tuesday at 9 am and will leave for Gurudwara Nanak Jhira Bidar, Karnataka.
