Petla Burj: On the occasion of Shab-e-Mehraj (Night of Ascent), Kul Hind Bazme Rahmat-e-Alam organised its 10th annual public gathering under banner 'Jalsa Meraj-un-Nabi' at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium in Petla Burj on Wednesday night.

It was presided by MA Mujeeb, President of Bazme Rahmat-e-Alam, and under the supervision of Hafez Muzaffer Hussain Khan Quadri Banda Nawazi. A large number of people assembled at the stadium. The Islamic scholars emphasised on world peace and religious tolerance and called for Hindu-Muslim communal amity.

Shab-e-Miraj celebrates the night when the Prophet Muhammad ascended to the Heavens. It refers to the incident of Isra and Mairaj when the Prophet was taken to the heavens from the Masjid Al Haram in Mecca.

Shab e Miraj or the night of journey carries great significance in Islam. It was the night when the Prophet was carried to the heavens and experienced several miracles along the way.

Islamic scholars including Maulana Shah Mohammed Fasiuddin Nizami (Jamia Nizamia Hyderabad), Maulana Mohammed Shameem-uz-Zama Qadri from Kolkata, Maulana Syed Shah Khushtar Rabbani from Banda in Uttar Pradesh, Maulana Mufti Mohammed Nazim Raza Ehsani from Moradabad, UP, and others took part in the programme.
