Journos urge govt to address issues

Himayatnagar: Representatives of Hyderabad Union of Working Journalists (HUJ) submitted a memorandum to Himayatnagar MRO Srisailam, appealing to the State government to address long-pending issues of journalists.

The programme was taken up in response to the call given by Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) to journalists to submit memorandums to their respective local MROs. The journalists' team led by Paka Balakrishna, president, TUWJ electronic media, met MRO and explained the journalists' issues and appealed to him to take up the notice of their issues to the State government.

Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said that the programme was taken up in response to the call given by TUWJ. He demanded that the CM KCR fulfil all the promises he gave to journalists after the formation of Telangana state. He urged the State government to give double bedroom houses, health cards and accreditation cards to journalists. He said that they were only asking for fulfilment of the promises made by CM himself and urged the CM to respond to journalists' issues.

HUJ electronic media vice-president B Manohar, Chippa Srinivas, organising secretary Sagar Manche, Satish, Chaitanya, Upender, Rambabu, Dayakar, Giribabu, Santhosh, Raju, Kiran, Rangaiah and others were among those who met MRO.
