KCR flayed for failing to respond to RTC strike
Serilingamapally: State BJP executive committee member Jnanendra Prasad has hit out at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to respond to the RTC, which entered its 11th day of strike on Tuesday.
Addressing the participants in the human chain and 'rasta roko' at Miyapur X Roads, organised in response to the call given by the RTC JAC, he said it is regrettable and unfortunate that even ministers failed to react to the recent suicides of two RTC staffers.
Prasad asserted that the fight of RTC employees was 'just.' He remarked that it was strange that the government thought it fit to dismiss the strikers without holding discussions with the JAC. He questioned whether KCR was treating the RTC strikers as his domestic workers. He recalled their role in the success of 'sakula janula samme' during the Telangana agitation.
The BJP leader called upon all political parties, caste organisations and employees' associations to support the strike. While appealing to KCR to concede the 'just' demands of the RTC staff, he warned of holding a massive agitation by the BJP. Prasad contended that the government was paralyzed and that people were suffering because of KCR. Dr K Naresh, BJP spokesman, said the party is extending total support to the strike.
