KCR has an eye on RTC assets: Congress leader Jetti Kusum Kumar
Patancheru: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee's Working President Jetti Kusum Kumar claimed here on Tuesday that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was conspiring to gobble up the RTC assets. He pledged Congress party's support to the striking RTC employees.
Addressing a meeting on the 39th day of the strike at BHEL depot, Kumar and Medak Lok Sabha constituency in-charge Gali Anil Kumar handed over essential items to about 100 RTC staffers. Also present at the strike camp at the depot were Congress leaders Sahasdev, Godavari Anji Reddy, RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders and local Congress activists.
Kumar alleged that the TRS government was determined to offer RTC assets worth thousands of crores to 'bada babulu.' This, he described as 'shameful.' Strongly objecting to the government's 'adamant attitude,' even after 39 days of the strike, Anil Kumar stated that this was 'deplorable.' He called upon the TRS legislators and ministers to resign and extend support to the RTC staff so as to force KCR to give up his 'adamant' stand.
