Kishan Reddy to take part in Delhi Bonalu
Laldarwaza: Union Minister of State of State for Home G Kishan Reddy will be attending the Bonalu festival which will be organised at the Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi in July. This would be the fourth year of celebrations being organised by Committee Members of Lal Darwaza Sri Narsimhavahini Mahankali Temple in the national capital.
The temple committee which is gearing up for Bonalu festival to be held at grand scale in the Old City will also be organising the celebrations from July 2 to 4. The committee led by its president, T Narsing Rao called on the Union Minister of State at his camp office at Dilkusha guest house at Raj Bhavan Road on Sunday and invited him officially. The delegation comprised vice-president K Venkatesh, temple representatives G Mahesh Goud, Chiranjeevi and Sheshu Narayana.
Kishan Reddy assured the delegation that he would take part in these celebrations in New Delhi.
Later, speaking to the media, the president of the Committee said that the festival was being celebrated in the month of 'Ashadha' at Lal Darwaza in Old City from July 2 to 4. "This temple is century-old and the festival is conducted on a grand scale and it is the practice of the temple to invite important dignitaries, in which lakhs of devotees take part," he added.
During the formal celebrations, a photo exhibition, Ghata Pratishthapana and Bonalu celebrations will also be held at the Telangana Bhavan. On this occasion, a Bangaru (Gold) Bonam will also be offered to the Goddess, he added.
