KPHB: Following complaints of receiving contaminated water by residents of KPHB Colony Road No 2 in Balajinagar division, local corporator Pannala Kavya Reddy on Friday rushed to the area and collected water samples in a bottle and a bucket.

She had interacted with HMWSSB officials who had taken up water pipe repair work 15 days back. But the residents continue to get polluted water. Reddy informed the board officials that the residents would fall sick if they consumed the water, while urging them to check its supply at the earliest.

Later, the corporator inspected the drainage problem in MIG in front of KPHB Colony function hall, following complaints by local residents. Reddy took up the issue with the GHMC officials over telephone, informing them that the sewerage was reversing into houses. She wanted them to take remedial steps.

Among those who accompanied her during the inspections were Ward Committee Member Srilata, area committee member Raji Reddy, party activists Sunil Kumar, Saraswati and Narsimha Rao.
