Krishna Pujari new Bahujan Sahitya Academy gen secretary

Secunderabad: Krishna Pujari, a resident of Padmarao Colony, was appointed as general secretary of Telangana Bahujan Sahitya Academy (BSA) by the national president of the academy, Nalla Radhakrishna, and national general secretary Dr U Subramanyam at Bahujan Writers meeting held at Tanjavur in Tamil Nadu recently. About 600 representatives from six states Tamil Nadu, Puduchery, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala attended the meeting.

Speaking to media on the occasion, Krishna Pujari thanked the national leaders of Bahujan Sahitya Academy for selecting him as the state general secretary post. He said that the meeting passed a resolution that a state meeting be convened to form committees for all the districts in the state.

Pujari said that he would tour all districts shortly and strive for development of 'Bahujans'. He said that the state meeting would be convened at the earliest to form district committees. He promised to be accessible to all the members of the academy and work for welfare of downtrodden sections.

Pujari expressed special thanks to BSA South India president Dr S Gopichand, general secretary Vishnuvardhan and Andhra Pradesh BSA president Damodhar for electing him unanimously for the post.
