Land encroached, site sold illegally
Jeedimetla: A private land has been encroached by some person in Jeedimetla. People here are surprised and shocked over the way he encouraged on the land violating rules and regulations in Venkatadrinagar with impunity.
Without any valid permission/layout, he sold 100 sq yards of plots to a few members. The residents are said to be making several rounds to officials and peoples' representatives.
They have been urging the officials and peoples representatives to take action against the land shark for quite some time now. But, their indifferent attitude to the complaints and representations gave rise to suspicions.
The welfare association members of the colony have lodged a complaint with the Zonal Commissioner and circle officials stating that 1,600 sq yards of land in S No. 313 near the last bus stop of Subhash Nagar has been encroached. However, their attempts remained futile with the illegal constructions coming up on the land. The miscreant sold the plots to innocent people illegally.
The residents said that complaints have been lodged with Quthbullapur Deputy Commissioner on March 13 and to Zonal Commissioner Shankaraiah on March 30. A fresh complaint has been filed on May 16. But, the complaints haven't reaped any fruits.
Bhaskar Reddy, a resident said that the land belonged to the colony road. There used to be roads round the colony. "A person encroached on the roads leaving no room for the passers-by. The issue has been taken up with the officials concerned. But, there was no response from them. We shall continue to protest for justice," he added.
