Lay footpaths of at least 10km in all wards: KTR
Hyderabad: With regards to the recent flyover accidents, MA&UD Minister KT Rama Ramarao constituted a committee to study Bio-diversity flyover. Only on the submission of the committee report, the Bio-Diversity flyover would be opened for public, said KTR.
The minister on Monday conducted a review meeting with officials, along with Mayor Dr Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, Principle Secretary Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Chief Engineer and other senior officials. In order to provide better amenities to citizens, KTR instructed the GHMC officials to ensure that no border line wall or frame should exist in front of commercial establishments in the city.
As part of development of walkway and footpath, the minister directed officials to lay new footpaths of at least 10km in each zone. To inform citizens on the status of ongoing engineering works, the progress of works should be displayed at the site work, KTR said.
Since, erection of 100 foot over bridge is already approved; steps should be taking to expedite works and to construct bus-bays and bus shelters in prescribed time.
On the successes of recent special programme conducted by the GHMC for collection of waste material in all wards and programme of Swachh ward conducted in Mehdipatnam, the Minister instructed officials to take up such activities in all wards. Further asked the officials to complete the LRS applications by December and also to introduce night sweeping.
