Left parties slam govt apathy, burn effigy
Malkajgiri: The CPI (M) and the CPI Malkajgiri Mandal leaders burned an effigy of TRS government, to protest against the police attacks on the left wing leaders during the state-wide bandh on Saturday.
Speaking Krupa Sagar, CPI (M) Malkajgiri in-charge, siad, "RTC workers have been on strike for the past 16 days but Chief Minister has been threatening and suspending employees without any consideration of their legitimate demands put before the government. The government is ruthlessly arresting and foisting illegal cases against left wing activists who were carrying out peaceful protests on bandh day."
The Left leaders and activists in Malkajgiri burned an effigy of the government and raised slogans against it, condemning the illegal arrests of their workers. KCR must not view RTC strike as an issue of his personal prestige and should call RTC unions for discussions to resolve their issues.
If the government does not take any swift action, the parties threatened to step up their protests. CPI (M) leaders Gutti Laxman, Narsing Rao, Mangamma, Narsing, Swamy Goud, Narayana Reddy, Bhasker, Shekar, Narsimha, CPI leaders Krishna Murthy (MM District Secretary), Yadaiah Goud, Hussain, Prabhakar and others took part in the protest.
