Local body polls conclude peacefully

Medak: The second phase of Parishad elections in the Medak district were concluded peacefully. The elections were held in Narsapur, Sivvampet, Kolcharam, Chilapched and Weldurthi mandals.

one MPTC at Chandi was elected unanimously in Sivvampet mandal, elections were held for remaining 59 MPTC seats. Elections started at 7 am and went up to 5 pm.

MPTC election in Andole, Vattipalli, Pulkal mandals was also ended without any issues. 79.49 percent polling was registered in Pulkal mandal for 15 MPTC seats, said MPDO Ravikumar.

Vattipalli MPDO Vidyasagar aid 77.4 percentage polling was registered for the elections held for 9 MPTC and one ZPTC seat. 79 percent of polling was registered for the elections held for 11 MPTC seats and one ZPTC seat in Andole mandal, MPDO Satyanarayana said.
