Hyderabad: Countering the allegations that the ruling party is encouraging defections from other parties, TRS working president K T Rama Rao on Monday said that people would give their judgement on what is good and what is wrong.

Addressing a gathering of leaders from Vikarabad, Bhupalapally, Secunderabad Cantonment, who joined the TRS at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, Rama Rao said it is better to take the Lok Sabha elections as a benchmark to decide what is wrong and what is not.

"The parties, which are questioning the decision of MLAs to join the TRS, should agree that the people's verdict in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections as people's mandate," he said. People would decide on April 11 what is right and what is wrong. The MLAs belonging to all political parties were getting attracted to the TRS because of good governance it has been providing to the people and and this is not a new phenomenon," said Rama Rao.

Rama Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would change the fortunes of the country if the party won 16 Lok Sabha seats. He asked why the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi could not get the idea of Rythu Bandhu? "If TRS wins 16 seats, it will not stop there but it will increase to 116 seats in the country.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has achieved Telangana with just two MPs and with 16 MPs Telangana can get whatever it wants," he added. Minister V Srinivas Goud, former Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, former Minister P Mahender Reddy and others also spoke.
