MAA Group focuses on empowerment of disabled
Hyderabad: The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was started in 1992 by the United Nations. Persons with disabilities do not have equal access to society or services, including education, employment, health care, transportation, political participation or justice. This day is aimed to promote understanding of the disability related issues and render support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
MAA Group (MAA ENT Hospitals, MAA Research Foundation, MAA Multi Rehabilitation Institute and MAA Institute of Speech and Hearing) is working to help poor patients with hearing and speech disability for the past 20 years.
Understanding the needs of society, MAA Group has expanded its services to the rehabilitation of patients with various types of disabilities. MAA Group provides excellent care for disabilities like autism, aphasia, dysarthria, learning disorders, mental health issues, physical disorders, speech and language disabilities, etc through the experienced team of doctors, audiologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech therapists.
"Promoting the participation of persons with disabilities and their leadership" is the theme for International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2019. The theme is focused on the empowerment of persons with disabilities for their overall development.
