Mala Mahanadu backs TSRTC strike
Khairatabad: The Mala Mahanadu on Tuesday extended its full support to the RTC workers' strike. National Mala Mahanadu president Chennayya told in a meeting held in Ambedkar Bhavan here that the organisation would hold protest programmes until the RTC employees' demands were conceded.
He expressed anguish over Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's announcement of sacking 50,000 RTC employees in one stroke. 'Because of this KCR's decision the RTC staff had lost confidence and were committing suicide in distress', he remarked. Chennayya recalled the RTC employees' active participation in the separate Telangana agitation. Hence, he said, KCR should concede the just demands.
The Mala Mahanadu leader appealed to the RTC staff and their families not to lose courage, while urging all sections of people, employees and caste organisations to back the strike. Among those present at the meeting were State working president Janga Srinivas, Venkatesham, Bhaskar, Agamayya, Narsimha, Balaswamy, Rambabu and Ramesh.
