Malayalam Mission Kendra opens in hyderabad city

Hyderabad: Popular poet and lyricist Vayalar Sharathchandra Varma inaugurated the Vidyadhiraja Malayalam Learning Centre, managed by Hyderabad Nair Service Society under the auspices of AIMA Malayalam Mission.

The president of NSS and senior journalist C G Chandra Mohan who presided over the function said it was an opportunity to learn one of the most adorable languages, Malayalam.

General secretary G Suresh Kumar welcomed and presented a copy of the magazine "Sevanam" published by Hyderabad NSS to Sharathchandra Varma who observed that Malayalam, though a modern language, is very rich and has great writers and pundits. He said a Malayali, wherever he is, should learn their mother tongue.

AIMA Telangana president TSC Prasad hailed NSS for starting the centre. Malayalam Mission Coordinator P S Sudheesh Kumar and AIMA secretary M K Shashi Kumar also spoke. Ashok Thathvamasi rendered a poem written by poet Aneesh Puthuvalil. Joint secretary K Soman Nair proposed a vote of thanks.
