Manda Krishna dividing dalits: Mala Mahanadu
Saifabad: President of Mala Mahanadu Chennaiah accused MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga of divisive politics in connivance with BJP and RSS. He was speaking at press conference held at Ambedkar Spoorthi Bhavan located at Mint Compound on Friday along with other leaders of the association.
Expressing his concern over the divisive politics of Manda Krishna, Chennaiah said that Manda Krishna created a wedge between both the communities, who are live peacefully together, and has been main hurdle in the development of dalit communities. He accused Manda Krishna as an agent of BJP, RSS, TDP and other upper caste leaders. Chennaiah warned of strong resistance to any attempt by the central government to bring SC, ST categorisation.
Mala Mahanadu leaders who spoke on the occasion welcomed AP CM Jagan's statement that SC categorisation is a national issue which needs to be sorted out by central government but not by state assembly.
The leaders expressed anger over Manda Krishna's misuse of categorisation issue for his self-interests, despite majority of dalits, Supreme Court and National SC and ST Commissions opposing the categorisation. While both mala and madiga have progressed, it is sub-castes which needs to be developed, they opined.
Mala Mahanadu leaders Sarasa Devi, Janga Srinivas, Agamaiah, Bhaskar, Ramesh, Mahesh and others were present at the press conference.
