Many Kapra colonies plagued by problems

Kapra: Incessant rains is creating a lot of trouble in the nearby colonies of Kapra division. Even National Highways are not exempt from the potholes. Drainage water is overflowing on roads and officials are not paying any interest to solve the problem in the division.

Though GHMC officials are regularly alerting the citizens about the mosquitoes with clear surroundings, however, it is not seen in Kapra circle areas. Even the people's representatives are ignoring the problems of the residents. This is making locals to fall for ill-health.

Recent continuous rains for the past five days have inundated many colonies including Sai Baba Nagar, Sai Nagar, GR Reddy Nagar, Charlapalli, Chinna Charlapalli, Rajiv Gruha Kalpa colonies with rain and drainage water. BGR colony, Bagath Nagar and GR Reddy Nagar have become pothole ridden after the heavy rains. Garbage wastes thrown at drainage line are emitting foul smell after the rains.

Some areas in Kapra circle are dug up for Manjeera pipes and have been left midway. These dug-up pits are now filled with rainwater posing risk to the locals. The residents are requesting the officials to respond and solve the problem.
