Mass awareness drive on seasonal diseases

Ameenpur: Ameenpur Municipal Commissioner Vemana Reddy has advised people to be on guard against seasonal diseases.

Addressing students and municipal staff in the limits of civic body and moving house-to-house, he called upon public to be alert against mushrooming of mosquitoes during the monsoon season and to avoid ailments like Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya and Japanese Encephalitis.

"This will be possible only by observing hygiene at home and in surrounding areas," he said. Reddy pointed out that it would be better for people to keep their surroundings clean and green, instead of getting afflicted with ailments and going to hospitals spending huge amounts of money.
