Medchal: Large-scale plantation in Keesara mooted

Medchal: Collector Vasam Venkateswarlu has instructed the Divisional Forest Officer and RDOs to take up large-scale tree plantation in Keesara forest area, including 'Sitaphal' and 'Vepa' saplings. He also wanted them to create a butterfly garden and a walking track in the forest. On the occasion, the DC directed the survey lands officer to conduct a survey in the 1,500 acres of Keesara forest area to determine its border. Later he reviewed the arrangements for the Keesaragutta Brahmotsavam celebrations from February 19 to 24.

The Collector directed officials to make all arrangements for holding the celebrations on a grand scale. He reviewed the arrangements including VIP passes, supply of water to devotees, installation of CCTV cameras, parking and lighting. Among those present were Additional Collector Vidyasagar, RDOs Ravi, Mallayya, Tahsildar Nagaraju, MPDO Sasirekha and Keesara Temple EO Sudhakar Reddy.
