Medical camp on seasonal diseases held
Musheerabad: Ramnagar corporator V Srinivas Reddy appealed people to avail the free medical camps being organised by health and entomology department across the city. He was speaking at a free medical camp organised at Sriramnagar Basti of Ramnagar division as part of measures to prevent spread of seasonal diseases this monsoon season.
Srinivas Reddy, who attended the free medical camp as chief guest, urged people to be conscious of health issues and avail the health facilities being provided by the State government. He said that the State government has been providing free healthcare services at government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals.
Later, as part of health drive, the medical team led by entomology chief Dr Venkatesh visited every house in the colony and explained them about precautions to be taken for prevention of seasonal diseases. The team emphasised the need for maintaining cleanliness of surroundings to prevent viral fevers such as malaria.
Colony residents Devaiah, Harinath, Vishwanath, TRS leaders Prakash Reddy, Jaidev, Anand, Yadagiri, Damodar Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
