RTC X Roads: Demanding the merger of TSRTC with government, the representatives of RTC union Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) served strike notice to the TSRTC MD here at Bus Bhavan on Friday. The representatives also demanded immediate pay revision and resolution of the issues faced by the RTC employees.

Speaking on the occasion, RTC union president Venkatachari and general secretary Ramesh Kumar demanded the state government to merge the RTC with the government and to implement the new pay revision. Ramesh Kumar said that the RTC employees have been undergoing difficulties due to delay in the implementation of wage revision.

Lack of recruitments for conductor and driver posts has resulted in heavy workload on employees, he said. He demanded the RTC management to fill all the vacant positions at the earliest. Due to lack of facilities and inadequate staff at Tarnaka RTC hospital, RTC employees have been facing many problems, he said. He demanded the management to appoint doctors and adequate staff for the hospital.

Ramesh Kumar warned that the RTC employees would go on a strike after September 25 if their demand of RTC merger with government, as promised by the CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in the past, was not fulfilled.

State secretaries of the union Srima Pathi, Shivanath, Chandra Mohan, Nagaraju, Srinivas Reddy, Rama Raju, Anil Kumar, R Ramudu, Ajay Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
