Military engineer probationers earn rapturous applause

Khairatabad: The Military Engineer Services Probationers from across 13 States, attending the first-ever Foundation Course, sponsored by Ministry of Defence, at Dr. MCR HRD Institute, presented a feature-rich cultural evening on Saturday, with great pomp and grandeur.

The energetic dances, glorious singing, and soulful music not only provided a great foot tapping time to the audience but also left everyone present awestruck.

B P Acharya, Director-General, Dr MCR HRD Institute, congratulated the probationers for proving beyond an iota of doubt that they were not only the best in their domain area of engineering but also were equally good in multiple areas, including dance, drama, music, etc.

"Being good at multi-tasking and possessing multiple talents hold the key for their success on professional and personal fronts in the present-day competitive world of work," he added.

Vivek Ranjan Pandey, Galib, Neeraj Yadav and Mohinish Kumar Sinha kick-started the scintillating evening with the most haunting melody, 'Koi Kahe, Kehta Rahe, Kitna Bhi Hamko Diwana,' and received a huge round of applause.

Vivek Ranjan Pandey and Galib rendered an iconic song, 'Ai Watan, Watan Mere Abaad Rahe Tu' and ignited the air with the magic of patriotism. This was followed by such ever-green songs as 'Mere Saamne Waali Khidki Me' and 'Main Koi Aisa Geet Gawoo,' which were presented by Ankit Goyal.

A 6-member group presented a highly scintillating Bhangra dance, characterised by a dazzling display of colourful costumes, energetic footsteps, and mesmerising music, and captured the hearts of one and all.

Another high-voltage performance, called 'Funny Dance,' was presented by an 8-member group to the rhythmic beats of such hit Bollywood numbers as 'Swag Se Karen Ge Sab Ka Swagat,' 'Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahi Ho,' etc, and garnered huge admiration from the audience A 14-member group presented a few skits, loaded with satire, and filled the evening with lots of fun and loads of entertainment.

The artists from Mutnuri Kuchipudi Academy presented classical dances and entertained the audience. Saurabh Pandey, who presented a play, "Beti Bacho; Beti Padhao", bagged the first prize in the solo performance segment and the 6-member team, which presented Bhangra dance, received the first prize in group performance segment. B P Acharya gave away prizes to the winners of different competitions. The lively anchoring by Miss Ruchi Chaudhary and Shivam Pratap Singh was an icing on the cake.
